Denia lies on Costa Blanca halfway between Alicante and Valencia on the eastern coast of Spain. This is a good base for exploring the lovely Costa Blanca or sailing across to Ibiza and the other Balearic Islands.

On your charter to the south you can visit; Javea, Calpe, Altea, Benidorm and Alicante. While to the north you will find; Gandia, El Perrello, Valencia and Castellon de la Plana. Denia is the nearest charter location, on the Spanish mainland, to the Balearic Islands. Ibiza and Formentera are some 70 miles away.

Denia itself has several popular festivals. March sees the fiesta Fallas. Huge paper mache statues, called fallas are set up throughout the town, and then set ablaze. July brings the popular Bous a la Mar or Bulls at the Sea. The highlight of this week long festival is watching bulls run down the main street, the Marques de Campo. The bulls ar ethen chased into the Mediterranean Sea by those intrepid or silly enough to enter a makeshift bull ring with them. The town serves as a terminus for a very picturesque metre gauge railway line through the mountains from Alicante, popularly known as the Limón Express.

Denia's is the castillo or castle is a popular attraction. Built by the Moors in the 11th and 12th century it offers some great views of the sea, the city and the backlands. Within the castle you will find the Palau del Governador and its museum, the Museo Etnologico, with exhibits depicting the rich history and culture of Denia. Good shopping can be found on the main road of Calle de Marques de Campo. Along with many bars and little restaurants.
