General - Cabopino Marina is set in a pleasant, small harbour surrounded by Andalucian style houses which makes a nice change from the normal high rise developments. Good shelter within the harbour. Limited space for transient yachts and it is recommended that you call ahead to confirm there is a berth available. Marina charges are on the high side.
Position - 36º 29' N 4º 44' W
Charts - British Admiralty 3578, 773 Spanish 454
Approach & Entrance - Care is required in strong SW - W winds. The harbour lies 4 miles to the SSW of Punta Calaburras lighthouse and 8 miles to the E of Marbella. The white houses and harbour breakwater can be seen from afar. Closer in the Torre de Cala Honda, a partly ruined square, just to the W will be seen. The harbour entrance is prone to silting, maximum depth is 2m, and is best approached on the flood. Secure to the fuel berth just inside the harbour to port and ask for a berth at the control tower.
