General - Real Club Nautico de El Puerto de Santa Maria is located at El Puerto de Santa Maria is located, on the Bay of Cadiz in southern Spain. The facility offers berths. The town is very pleasant. The marina staff friendly and helpful.

Protection/Shelter - Reasonable. I sat out a summer gale on the outside of a hammerhead pontoon with little discomfort. Some swell from passing vessels but again not to uncomfortable

Approach and Entrance -

From the North of West - From the Las Cabezuelas buoy and follow the Canal del Norte. Pass no more than 1 mile of Punta Santa Catalina del Puerto to avoid the banks of La Galera and El Diamante.
From the South of West - Make for the entrance to the canal principal and follow the well bouyed and lit channel. At El Diamante, port hand buoy #4 leave the channel and steer 073º for the entrance channel defined by training walls.

Berths & Moorings - 175 berths. 20 reserved for visitors on the outside of 10 hammerhead pontoons. Call on VHF Ch 09 on arrival or secure to a vacant hammerhead and report to the marina office.
