Approach - From the E round the island of Formentera from the S and sail up the W coast. From the W approach the N end of Formentera on a SE course. Isla Espalmador can be identified by the conspicuous tower on its summit and the lighthouses on either side of the Freu Grande. Closer in the white buildings around the harbour can be seen and later the squat white lighthouse with its diagonal black stripe. To enter approach the E head of the northern breakwater and leave it 20m to starboard.

General - The harbour gets very crowded in the summer and charges are very high. Beware of ferries entering and leaving at speed.

Eating Out - Plenty of restaurants and bars.

Local Area - Good beaches to the NE of the marina. The salt pans to the E of the marina may be of interest and San Fransisco Javier is worth a visit
