General - Puerto de Segur de Calafell is a small artificial yacht harbour built offshore and connected to the coast road by a causeway. The entrance is dangerous in strong winds between W - S. Position - 41º 11' N 1º 36' E Charts - British Admiralty 1704 French 4827 Spanish 871 Approach & Entrance; From the south - Puerto de Coma-Ruga which is built out to sea is easily seen as is Puerto de Segur de Calafell in the closer approach. From the north - Pass the modern harbour at Aigualdoc and the large Puerto de Vilanova i la Geltru. The power station at Foix is easily identified. In the closer approach Puerto de Segur de Calafell is easily seen. To enter - The entrance is close to the shore and careful sounding is required. Approach the W side of the harbour on a N course. Leave the length of he breakwater at 20m to starboard and round its head at 10m onto an E course. Entrance is forbidden during the hours of darkness. Secure to the visitors pontoon immediately to starboard on entry and await allocation of a berth.
