Washington lies on the Pacific coast of the USA adjoining the state of Oregon to the south and the country of Canada to the north. Seattle, La Conner and Tacoma are popular sailing centers. The San Juan Islands, comprising Orcas Island, Lopez Island, San Juan Island and Shaw Island are a very popular cruising area.
