Cinque Terre is a rugged stretch of coast on the Italian Riviera comprising the five villages of Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore. The coastline, villages, and the surrounding hillsides are all part of the Cinque Terre National Park and are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Charter Season - The main season generally runs from April to the end of October. Operators have varying charges throughout the year with pricing peaking for 2/3 weeks in August. July and August are the hottest months, tend to have lighter winds and many places are very crowded with holiday makers. April - June and September-October have a lot of plus points, the temperatures are more comfortable, those sailing are likely to getter better winds, it is not as expensive and while ashore you will avoid crowds of August.

Airport Transfer - Where necessary we can normally arrange a transfer from the airport directly to your boat. You will be asked whether you require this service at time of booking
Provisioning - Most operators offer this service. You can pre-order with us and your shopping with then be delivered to the boat prior to embarkation
Experience & Qualifications - Normally the proposed skipper of a bareboat charter is required to hold a sailing license. ICC or equivalent. In certain circumstances we may be able to consider experience rather than formal qualifications. In addition, usually, one member of the crew will need a VHF license. If you have any doubts as to whether you have the necessary qualifications please do not hesitate to contact us

Time Difference - GMT+1. And another hour for Central European Summer Time between late March and late October
Currency - Italy uses the Euro as its currency. All major credit cards are widely accepted and you will have no trouble obtaining money from an extensive network of ATMs
Language - Italian. Some English is spoken
Electricity - 220V
Cusine - The local cusine is the result of the warm, dry Mediterranean climate. Basic ingredients are olives and olive oil, garlic, sardines, rockfish, sea urchins and octopus, lamb and goat, chickpeas and local fruits
Terms & Conditions -These vary depending on the individual boat. Normally a deposit is required at the time of booking with the balance due 6 weeks before the date of your charter. Please contact us if you require further information.
