La Linea is the home base for, "Suka", our Elan 450. Alcaidesa Marina is just a 10 minute walk to the Gibraltar border. Or we can move the boat to one of Gibraltar's marinas subject to berth availability and a small charge for the move. The boat has accommodation for 10 in 3 double cabins, a fourth cabin with two bunks and a further two berth in the convertible saloon. The bright and airy saloon with a U shaped settee and large folding saloon table, offers plenty of space for an evening aboard as well as meal times. The saloon also features a practical chart table arrangement with a wet locker behind. The adjoining second heads complete the saloon area. The fully equipped L-shaped galley will fulfil even the toughest chef's demand. The Elan 450's impressive sail plan with tall fractional rig, swept aft double spreaders, large mainsail area, non overlapping headsail and optional large gennaker handled by retractable bow spirit maximises her sailing performance taking full advantage of the precise combination of her fin lead keel and twin rudder steering system. Manoeuvring in a marina is made easy with a retracting bow thruster. Normally the proposed skipper of a bareboat charter is required to hold a sailing license. ICC or equivalent. In certain circumstances we may be able to consider experience rather than formal qualifications. In addition, usually, one member of the crew will need a VHF license.
