The North Coast extends in length over 80NM, from the Algerian border down to Raf Raf. Tunisia's northern coast has played little part in the country's touristic development until recently. Bizerte, the country's oldest city, is noted as the Tunisian Venice and hosts a modern 900 berth marina. Dont miss La Galite island, with its spectacular Mediterranean fauna oasis. East of Bizerte lies the long white beach of Raf Raf. West of Bizerte is Tabarka, long popular as a resort for independent travelers, with its lovely beach overlooked by a spectacular island castle.
