American Sailing Association - The American Sailing Association, has designed a number of courses aimed at differing levels of sailing ability. It is worth pointing out that these courses are not only available within the USA, Because it's fine reputation, recognised worldwide, many sailing shools across the globe offer these courses with the approval of the Association. The Canadian Yachting Association was established in 1931 as the national governing body for the sport of sailing. The Association promotes both sailing and power boating working with the Provincial Sailing Associations, member clubs and schools. The Canadian Yachting Association's Learn to Sail standards provide safe, standardised instruction for both recreation and racing. Instructional courses can be found at community colleges, sailing schools, sailing and yacht clubs, the Department of National Defence, Scouts Canada and the YMCA. International Yachtmaster Training - The International Yachtmaster Training programme was introduced in 2001. It is divided into several sections including: Introduction to Yachting Certificate, The International Recreational Crew Certificate, Radio Operator/Communications Certificate, Watchkeeper/Flotilla Skipper Certificate, International Bareboat Skipper Certificate. Royal Yachting Association - The RYA has designed a wide range of courses to cover Sailing Boats including the populat Yachtmaster series, Power Boats, Dinghy Sailing and Windsurfing together with several ancillary courses including: Diesel Engine Maintenance, First Aid, Radar, Radio and Sea Survival.
