After rounding Ponta da Piedade the entrance to the river lies 1.5 miles to the N From the east - Lagos lies 7 miles beyond Portimao. The coast beyond Portimao is sandy. To enter - Pass between the two breakwaters at the mouth of the river. The entrance to the marina lies 0.7 miles upriver on the starboard side. Berths - Secure to the visitors pontoon just outside the marina itself and just short of the lifting pedestrian bridge. All the berths are on finger pontoons.
