General - Puerto de Cala Portixol is a fishing and yachting harbour on the south coast of Mallorca. Approach and entry are easy except with a heavy swell fro SW - SE when it becomes dangerous due to shallows. Position - 39º 33.5' N 2º 40.2' E Charts, Pilots & Cruising Guides - See the following link for Charts of the Balearic Islands Approach & Entrance - From the E follow the coast at 0.5 mile in a NW direction from Puerto de Arenal. Puerto de Cala Portixol has easily recognisable breakwaters. From the W steer NE toward the outer breakwater of Puerto de Palma leaving it 0.25 mile to port. Close the shore on the same course. The harbour breakwaters are easy to identify. Enter on a N course passing through the breakwaters Berths - Secure to the visitors pontoon and await allocation of a berth.
