General - Puerto de Fornells lies in the NW of the Cala de Fornells. The whole area is most attractive. Approach and entry are easy. A swell enters the harbour with gales from NW - N.

Approach & Entrance - From the W Cabo Caballaria with its lighthouse is easily identified. Immediately to the E is the Bahia de Tirant and this is separated from Puerto de Fornells by one further promontory, Cabo Fornells. |To the E of the entrance lies the high La Mola promontory. Approach when the entrance lies due south. From the E round Cabo Pantinat and pass Punta Na Guiamassa and onto Punta d'es Murte. When this headland lies due S the entrance opens up. To enter approach on a S course. The small island of Isla Sargantana, in the middle of the cala, with two leading marks will be seen in the distance. Bring the marks in line and enter on 178.5ºT. Puerto de Fornells will be seen on the starboard side, pass between the two breakwater to enter
