General - Porto Petro Marina shares the harbour with local fishing boats. The setting is attractive. The marina suffers from some swell with winds from E - SE.

Approach & Entrance - From the S the Torre de Porto Petro and the lighthouse are not visible until Punta sa Torre is due N and the entrance to the harbour is open. The black and white striped lighthouse is conspicuous. From the N both the Torre de Porto Petro and the lighthouse (see above) are easily recognized. To enter approach on a NW course and pass between Punta de sa Torre and Punta d'es Port. Alter course to NNW toward the head of the mole. When the village shows to port alter course towards it.

Other Facilities & Services - 1 tonne crane. Simple repairs can be made.

Shopping - Some provisions can be obtained in the village close to Porto Petro Marina. There is better shopping in Cala d'Or 1.5 miles away.

Eating Out - There are a few restaurants within walking distance of Porto Petro Marina

Local Area - Sandy beaches in the calas to the SW of Porto Petro Marina. A visit to the old town of Santany is of interest.
