General - Puerto L'Ampolla is a fishing port with some facilities developed for yachts. It lies on the Costa Dorada on the E coast of Spain. Approach and entrance are easy in all but strong winds from the E when it could be dangerous. Position - 40º 48' N 0º 46' E Charts - British Admiralty 1701 Spanish 485, 838 French 7048, 4720 Approach & Entrance; From the south - Round the delta of the Rio Ebro and from off the Faro del Fanger go WNW towards the buildings of L'Ampolla. The breakwater will be seen in the close approach. From the north - Follow the coast at 400m. Punta Figuers and Cabo Roig can be identified. In the closer approach the buildings of L'Ampolla and the breakwater will be seen To enter - Approach the head of the breakwater on a W course and round it at 25m Berths - Go to the visitors berth at the entrance and report to the Club Nautico L'Ampolla.
