General - Puerto de Coma-Ruga is a purpose built marina set at the end of a 300m long elevated road stretching out to sea. It lies on the Costa Dorada on the E coast of Spain. Position - 41º 11' N 1º 28.5' E Charts - British Admiralty 1701, 1704 French 4827 Spanish 838 Approach & Entrance; From the south -The large breakwaters of Puerto de Tarragona are easily recognized. The old castle and towers at Tamarit will be recognized. The marinas at Torredembarra and Roda de Bara may be seen. Puerto de Coma-Ruga appears to be well out to sea. From the north - Pass the modern harbour at Aigualdoc and the large Puerto de Vilanova i la Geltru. The power station and chimney at Foix are conspicuous as is Puerto de Segur de Calafell which like Puerto de Coma-Rugais is also built out to sea. To enter - Approach the E side of the harbour from the SE. Follow the E breakwater shorewards and round its head at 15m leaving it to port. It is important to sound carefully as the entrance is prone to silting. Berths - Secure to the inner side of the E breakwater and report to the Torre de Control.
