General - Puerto de El Masnou lies on the Costa Dorada, to the N of Barcelona, on the E coast of Spain. Approach and entry are easy and protection is excellent.

Position - 41º 28' N 2º 18' E

Approach & Entrance;
From the south - The city of Barcelona is easy to identify. The mouth of the Rio Besos can be identified by the gas and power stations that stand on either side of its entrance. The church at El Masnou and a tower, Turo de Mona, can be recognised.
From the north - The cliffs on either side of Arenys de Mar and its harbour can be recognised. Beyond the coast is flat and sandy. The buildings and harbour at Mataro can be identified. El Masnou can be identified by its church and tower.
To enter - The entrance is at the W end of the harbour. Round the outer breakwater leaving it to starboard and steer ENE. Enter between the pier heads

Berths - Secure to the visitors berth by the fuel quay and report to the Torre de Control.

Local Area - Good sandy beaches on either side of the harbour. Swimming pool at the Club Nautico de El Masnou. Barcelona can be reached by bus and rail.
