General - Puerto de Llanca is a fishing and yachting harbour on the Costa Brava on the NE coast of Spain. Approach and entry are easy and shelter inside is good. Position - 42º 22.4' N 3º 09' E Charts - British Admiralty 1705 French 6843 Spanish 876, 493 Approach & Entrance; From the south - Cross the mouth of the Bahia de Selva and round Punta de la Sernella which has a lighthouse. Keep a minimum of 500m from the shore until the Ensenada De Llanca has fully opened up. The round El Castellar and follow the breakwater around. From the north - Puerto de Llanca lies in the third large bay 3 miles to the S of Portbou. It can be recognised by the small castle that sits on top of an isolated rocky mound, El Castellar. To enter - Round the breakwater headland make a sharp turn to starboard Berths - Go alongside the visitors berth and ask.
