General - Benicarlo Marina lies to the N of a large fishing harbour on the Costa de Azahar on the E coast of Spain. The marina has 250 berths.

Approach & Entrance;
From the south - Having passed the distinctive castle at Peniscola the breakwaters of Benicarlo will be seen in the distance.
From the north - The coast below Vinaroz is low, broken, rocky cliffs. The town, church and harbour walls of Benicarlo are conspicuous from this direction.
To enter - Round the head of the E breakwater leaving it 50m to starboard to avoid the underwater obstructions protruding fro the breakwater. Leave a further to breakwater heads 50m to port and head for the marina tower.

Berths - Secure to the visitors berth and report to the Torre de Control.

Local Area - The old church of San Bartolome with a baroque facade and octagonal tower is of interest. Excellent sandy beaches on either side of the harbour.
