General - Pobla Marina also known as Puerto de Farnals is a purpose built marina with over 800 berths. It lies on the E coast of Spain to the N of Valencia. Approach and entrance are easy in all but strong winds and swell from the E - S when it would be difficult at best and possibly dangerous.

Position - 39º 34' N 0º 7' E

Approach & Entrance -From the S the huge breakwaters of Valencia harbour are easily identified. Further N the tall apartment buildings that back Saplaya Marina can be identified. In the close approach the high rise buildings that back Pobla Marina will be seen together with the breakwaters and a red lattice work tower. From the N the coast is low, flat and sandy. The harbours of Burriana and Sagunto can be identified by the industrial development behind them. In the close approach the high rise buildings that back Pobla Marina will be seen together with the breakwaters. To enter approach the head of the E breakwater at low speed, sounding continuously as the entrance is prone to silting. Round leaving the head 25m to starboard and follow this breakwater to the entrance.

Berths - Moor on the waiting berth to port on entry just W of the fuel berth and report to the port captain.
