General - Puerto de Vinaroz is a large commercial, fishing and yachting harbour on the Costa del Azahar on the E coast of Spain. Easy to approach and enter but be aware of several fish farms n the area

Position - 40º 27.5' N 0º 28.6' E

Approach & Entrance;
From the south - Pass the conspicuous castle at Peniscola and the harbour wall and town of Benicarlo will be seen. The coast from here on is of low sandy coloured cliffs. The harbour walls of Vinaroz, some high rise buildings and a tall chimney and crane will be seen in the close approach.
From the north - The high range of hills, the Sierra Montsia, which backs the flat delta of the Rio Ebro, is easily recognized. Puerto de Vinaroz lies to the S of this feature. Some high rise buildings and a tall chimney and crane will be seen in the close approach.
To enter - Round the head of the E breakwater at 50m. Leave the western breakwater to port and head for the pontoon in the W of the harbour.

Berths - Secure to a vacant berth in the W of the harbour.
