The sea channel is well buoyed and lit with sufficient depth for yachts at most states of tide as far as the harbour berths. Yachts can enter the marina approximately 1.5 hours either side of high water. A revolving yellow light is displayed about 18m above the quay level at the ro-ro berth to indicate that a large vessel is arriving at or sailing from the harbour berths. Yachts bound for the marina should contact Fleetwood Dock before passing the Perch (No.11 buoy). The call sign is Fleetwood Dock Radio and VHF channel 12 (156.60 MHz) is monitored.
