Florida lies in SE of the USA. It's eastern boundry lies on the Atlantic Ocean, its western one on the Gulf of Mexico. Popular yacht charter centres include, the Florida Keys, Annapolis, Fort Lauderdale, Miami and Tampa Bay
Miami is a major city in SE Florida and an important yacht charter centre. Its location makes it easy to take your boat and explore the Florida Keys and Everglades National Park to the west and Biscayne National Park to the east. The Gulf Stream, a warm ocean current, runs northward just 15 miles off the coast, allowing the Miami's climate to stay warm and mild all year.
Tampa Bay is a large natural harbor and estuary along the Gulf of Mexico on the western coast of Florida, comprising Old Tampa Bay, Hillsborough Bay, McKay Bay, and New Tampa Bay. Clearwater, St Petersburg and Tampa are all yacht charter centres on Tampa Bay.
Maryland lies in the eastern coast of the USA. Much of its coast lies on the Chesapeake Bay one of Americas most popular yacht charter areas. Major yacht charter centres on the bay include Annapolis, Baltimore, Cambridge and Havre de Grace.
Annapolis is the capital of the state of Maryland. It is located at 38°58' N, 76°30' W, 28 miles east of Washington, DC. Annapolis is situated at the mouth of the Severn River which flows into the Chesapeake Bay.
The area known as New England is to be found in the NE of the USA. Its coast lies on the Atlantic Ocean. It is made up of the states of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.
