Marinas in the British Virgin Islands

The British Virgin Islands, a dependency of the United Kingdom, are a group of islands forming part of the Lesser Antilles island chain in the Caribbean Sea. The principal islands are Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Anegada, Jost Van Dyke, Peter Island, and Salt Island. Road Town, situated on the southeast coast of Tortola, is the capital and the only town in the British Virgin Islands Charts, Pilots & Cruising Guides - See the following link for BVI Cruising Guides & Charts Visitors entering the BVI should proceed directly one of the following ports of entry. Road Harbour on Tortola, West End on Tortola, Great Harbour on Jost Van Dyke and Spanish Town on Virgin Gorda.You will need to present; 1. Ship's papers. 2. Valid passports for all crew and passengers. US and Canadian citizens can enter with an authentic birth certificate plus two valid photo IDs if they don't have a passport. Vessels travelling between the British Virgin Islands and US Virgin Islands must clear out of BVI waters at one of the customs offices listed, and clear into US waters either at Cruz Bay, St Johns or Charlotte Amalie, St Thomas. When entering US waters, remember that all non-US crew must have valid US visas. On returning to the BVI, you must clear in again. US visas must be obtained before arrival in the Caribbean. The US embassies in the Caribbean will only issue visas to Caribbean nationals.
