Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur stretches across southeast France. The region borders Italy to the east, Languedoc - Roussillion to the west and the Mediterranean Sea to the south. Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur is made up of the departments of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, Alpes-Maritimes, Bouches-du-Rhône, Hautes-Alpes, Var and Vaucluse. The capital of the region is Marseille, a busy port. Other cities include Cannes, Nice and Saint-Tropez.
