General - Real Club Nautico de Adra is located at Adra on the Mediterranean coast of Andalucia in the south of Sapin. The facility offers berths, boatyard and a storage operation. The harbour was founded by the Phoenicians and has been in use ever since. Today it is both a commercial and fishing port. The continual movement of the fishing boats makes for some disturbance. Facilities are limited.

Winds from the E make the entrance difficult. The harbour can be identified by the lighthouse and the Torre de Perdigones of which the lower half is painted white and the upper half brown.

Entrance - Head for the SW tip of the outer breakwater and leave it to port giving it a decent berth. Pass a further breakwater and head for the Club Nautico's pontoons across the harbour.

In early 2009, EPPA, the company that runs the boatyard operation, made some changes to regulations covering work in boatyards. The exact regulations are unclear and although we requested some clarification we did not receive a response from EPPA. Bottom line is you should assume you, the vessal owner, cannot work on your boat in the yard. Nor can you stay onboard the vessal while on the hard. If you want to sub-contract any work to third party companies you should seek confirmation from EPPA that the proposed company is approved to do work in the yard.
