General - Aguadulce Marina is located at Aguadulce, on the Mediterranean coast of Andalucia in southern Spain. The facility offers berths, boatyard and a storage operation. And the marina complex includes a swimming pool and squash court.

Formalities - Present Registration, Insurance and Passports to the marina office upon arrival.

Depths at MLW - 2.5.

Protection/Shelter - Good shelter except with wind from the ESE which can cause some swell making conditions uncomfortable.

Approach and Entrance -

From the South West - Round Punta de Cabinal with it's lighthouse and follow the flat low coast in a NE direction. Aguadulce harbour is positioned where the flat land ceases and gives way to cliffs. The control tower (see picture top right) is easily visible.
From the East - Round Cabo de Gata and steer WNW across the Golfo de Almeria. The buildings of the town of Almeria are easily visible. The harbour is positioned at the end of the cliffs, where the low, flat land commences.
Entrance - Head for the southern end of the outer breakwater, leaving it to starboard. Go alongside the quay at the control tower, to port and ask in the tower for a berth

Berths & Moorings - 764 berths. It is not known if reservations can be made.

Maximum length - 25m.

Water - On the pontoons.

Electric - On the pontoons.

Fuel - Diesel and Petrol.

Weather forecast - Daily at the marina office.

Security - Open pontoons but 24 hour security is provided within the marina.

Boatyard Facilities & Services - 50 tonne travel lift. Most repairs. Painting & anti-fouling. Carpentry Electronic repairs. GRP repairs. Sailmaker. Owners are restricted in what work they may do themselves.

Shopping and Provisions - Most provisions can be obtained in Aguadulce.

Two 18 hole golf courses nearby. Swimming pool and squach court within the marina.

Sightseeing - This part of the coast is covered with plastic greenhouses, it has to be seen to be appreciated both for the vast number of acres under cover and it's ugliness. Almeria is only a few minutes away by road and the Alcazaba, a Moorish castle is well worth a visit. The city of Granada and the famous Alhambra can be seen in a days trip. As can the Alpujarras valley, with it's charming villages, towered over by the magnificent Sierra Nevada.
