General - Mayflower Marina stands on the famous Plymouth Hoe in the heart of the city of Plymouth. Shelter is excellent. The marina is accessible in all states of tide.

Sightseeing - Plymouth Hoe, best known perhaps as the place where Sir Francis Drake was playing bowls whilst awaiting The Spanish Armanda. Dominating the Hoe is Smeaton's Tower, built in 1759, once standing guard over the Eddystone Reef some 20 miles off Plymouth. It was moved to the Hoe in 1852 when its foundations started to collapse. Crownhill Fort. St Andrews Church. A few miles north of the City is Buckland Abbey, home of Sir Francis Drake. Dartmoor National Park and the towns of Okehampton and Tavistock are easily visited.
