Sightseeing - The Norfolk Broads is a low lying area that contains more than 30 artificial lakes, which were formed by the broadening of the Rivers Bure and Yare. There is a total of about 320 km of navigable water which are available for cruising. They converge at Breydon Water and flow into the North Sea at Great Yarmouth. Wroxham Broad is generally considered the most attractive. Museums and Cultural Attractions - Norwich cathedral was begun in 1096, and is almost wholly Norman in style. Great Yarmouth has several museums. Galleries - Conservation Projects - Some parts of the Norfolk Broads have been made into nature reserves for wildlife, which include bitterns, goldeneye ducks, swans, teal, and marsh harriers, as well as the rare swallowtail butterfly.
