Berths, Slips & Moorings - Guest Moorings for vessels up to 35' are available by contacting the Port San Luis Water Taxi via VHF radio, channel 16 or 12. The District has a limited number of guest moorings for vessels over 35' that are rented on a first-come, first-serve basis. These moorings can accommodate vessels up to 85'. Vessels may stay for up to two weeks.
Anchoring - April through October, vessels may anchor for seven days without charge between the Avila Pier and the Cal Poly Pier. After seven days a daily fee is levied. Anchor fees are levied from day one from November 1 through March 31. It is not recommended to anchor during inclement weather. Anchoring within the mooring area is restricted. If in question about anchoring or mooring, please contact the Harbor Patrol for assistance on VHF Radio, Channel 16.
NB - We received the following comments on 2nd Sep 2011 "It is Friday of Labor Day Weekend. It is 3:45pm and the shoreboat is done for the day. The shoreboat operates when the guy feels like it. No set hours"
