Approach and Entrance - From Long Island Sound make for the mouth of the Connecticut River (41° 16' N 72° 19' W). Proceed some 5 miles up river to Essex on the W shore. The Chandlery at Essex lies just past marker 26 and the entrance to Middle Cove.
