General - Damar Marina lies on the Connecticut River off Long Island Sound in the NE of the USA. Damar Marina is also known as Midway Marina. A no wake zone in front of marina helps to reduce the roll. The facility combines slips, boat yard and a storage operation. Most services are provided by the boat yard but owners are welcome to do their own work.

Approach and Entrance - From Long Island Sound make for the mouth of the Connecticut River (41° 16' N 72° 19' W). Proceed up river for 12 miles. Damar Marina lies 1 mile past the East Haddam Swing bridge on the W shore. The facility is across from the Salmon River's mouth. The gray 2 story building and adjacent work and storage sheds are perched high above the water are easily seen, as is the Blue Oar Restaurant that sits on pilings at dock level.
