General - Offshore East Marina lies on the Connecticut River off Long Island Sound in the NE of the USA. The facility lies in an almost land locked basin that provides good protection. Focus here is on sail boats.

Approach and Entrance - From Long Island Sound make for the mouth of the Connecticut River (41° 16' N 72° 19' W). Old Saybrook lies on the W shore about 1 mile from the river mouth. Proceed up river passing the bascule bridge, the road bridge and the Baldwin Bridge. Turn to port around Ferry Point and head for the entrance, identified by twin private red markers, a series of stakes and Island Cove Marina's large pavilion.
