Approach and Entrance - From Long Island Sound make for the NE point of the North Fork, Round Orient Point and follow the S shore of the North Fork. From the Atlantic Ocean round Montauk Point at the E end on Long Island's Southern Fork then cross Block Island Sound and Gardiners Bay passing to the N of Gardiners Island and Shelter Island. Berths & Moorings - 15 slips with 10 reserved for transients. 13 moorings all available to visiting yachts. In Stirling Creek are 8 transient moorings, lobster pot-style floats & yellow buoys marked T1 - T8. Outside the creek, near the breakwater, are a further 5 more, white balls with blue stripes. Reservations cannot be made.
