General - ST Preston & Son lies on the E side of Greenport Waterfront on the S shore of Long Island's North Fork. The facilities are basic but this is reflected in the rates charged, amongst the cheapest in the USA I've come across while compiling these reports. In addition Preston's is probably the best equipped chandlery on the E end of Long Island.

Approach and Entrance - From Long Island Sound make for the NE point of the North Fork. Round Orient Point and follow the S shore of the North Fork. From the Atlantic Ocean round Montauk Point at the E end on Long Island's Southern Fork then cross Block Island Sound and Gardiners Bay passing to the N of Gardiners Island and Shelter Island. Greenport lies to the N of Shelter Island. ST Preston & Son lies on the E side of Greenport Waterfront. Head for the wire heron sculpture at the end of Greenport Yacht & Ship's dock. A little to the W a roof with with "ST Preston & Son" will be seen.

Berths & Moorings - 10 slips all reserved for transients. Reservations cannot be made.
