Approach and Entrance - From Long Island Sound make for Oyster Bay. Oyster Bay Marine Center lies on the S shore of the bay. Look for the small 1.5 story white building dwarfed by a large crane.

Locally, Raynham Hall from the 1770's is a 20 room museum invoking the life of one of Oyster Bay's founding families. The 260-year-old saltbox is famous for its sightings of ghosts. 3 miles northeast around the harbour is Sagamore Hill National Historic Site.
