Approach and Entrance - From the Pacific Ocean head for Coos Bay, the entrance is marked by Cape Arago Light. The Coos Bay bar is considered the safest on the Pacific coast. Contact the Coast Guard for bar conditions (888-3102). Once inside the bar, follow South Slough two miles to Charleston. Charleston Marina is located on the port side past the drawbridge. The first dock is for guests and is well marked
